Capt. Hari has a wealth of experience in the Shipping industry and Oil & Gas industry over the past 36 years in leadership, commercial and operational, extensive shipping, multimodal logistics, supply chain management, Health Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE), risk identification/ mitigation and crisis management.

With several years of working experience across Europe and Asia (London, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore & Indonesia) in the shipping, chemicals, oil and gas industries, he was most recently Project Director (2013-2016) setting up a Joint Venture of a downstream retailing business in Indonesia with a Major oil Company, after having spent 12 years (2001-2013) at BP in various leadership positions within BP’s Trading, Chemical, Shipping divisions. After sixteen years at sea (1979-1995) in various ascending capacities from Deck Cadet to Captain sailing on predominantly oil tankers, he started his career ashore as a specialized Marine Consultant (1995- 1998) and was thereafter absorbed into Shell Singapore’s Pulau Bukom (1998-2000) and Shell’s Singapore office Chemical Logistics team (2000-2001).

He was a Board Member of the Singapore Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (1999-2013), a Member of Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of Singapore’s British Chamber of Commerce, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators London (2009-2012), Chaired the Responsible Care Committee of the Singapore Chemicals Industries Council (2002- 2004) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Shipbrokers London.

Capt. Hari holds a Graduate Diploma in Maritime Law & Arbitration with NUS Singapore (2011), a Graduate Certificate in International Arbitration from National University of Singapore (2010), an MBA from Leicester University UK (2002), an Advanced Diploma in Transportation Management from the Chartered Institute of Transport (1997), passed qualifying exams for the Chartered Institute of Ship brokers UK membership (1992) and a Master Mariner Class 1 (Foreign Going) Certificate from UK.
